Tuesday 2 June, from 6:30pm will see Mossgreen’s highest ever value auction take place.
With close to 4 million up for grabs, the auction features works from some of the most important private collections in the country.
Some of the artists on offer include Brett Whiteley, Jeffery Smart, Arthur Streeton and Albert Tucker.
Lot 12 in the catalogue is Arthur Stretton’s, Doge’s Palace, Venice; this piece comes out of a private collection and has never been seen before at auction.
Another one of the highlights for this exciting auction night comes out of The Suncorp Collection.
The collection includes Albert Tucker’s extraordinary Magpie in Landscape Lot 95.
With several of Whiteley’s on offer, it’s hard to go past some of his sculptures.
Study for her 1975, Lot 17 is a beautiful representation of Whiteley’s lyrical movement. His whimsical approach reflects his true identity with his signature movements on display.
