Welcome Emma Barnet

You’re invited to this very special event, Saturday the 23rd of February from 1pm at Anala Art Advisory, Glenbrook.

“Bloom”, exhibits the beauty, colour and wonder of nature.
It offers artworks that can bring this wonder to any space, introducing viewers to a close-up expression of the joy and wonder of flowers.

Emma Barnet, artist and florist sources inspiration from nature and the beauty of the florals that surround her daily in her very own “Flower Empire” florist in Glenbrook.
Emma is inspired by the natural beauty of the blooms, how they unfold and display that fragile beauty for such a brief moment in time. Emma wanted to capture these moments in nature. The vividness of the colours and subtleties of textures and bring them into close up.

It means a lot for Emma to be immersed again in the discipline of painting and the creative outlet that art provides.
Emma loves stepping between the reality of floristry and its artistic expression in paint. Having come from an illustration background Emma finds the art of botanical illustration a very strong attraction for her.
Painting is an extension of this interest allowing her to express the colours of the blooms in close up on a large canvas to create more impact for the viewer.
Painting on a on such a large scale can be all consuming however the result can bring nature inside, whether it be to home or office, where these images can create a vivid yet calm atmosphere to support our well-being.
Simply put.., nature and all its beauty is a necessity for humans in their lives.

Emma’s previous career was in the costume industry working on art finishes and buying for many Feature films, TV series, theatre, operas and ballet both internationally and within Australia. During her career this has allowed Emma to work in the world of theatre and make believe, creating visual worlds which can adapt to any time or place
This sense of drama is conveyed in her art work from the make-believe worlds that Emma has worked in including the Royal Opera Figaro Covent Garden London and movies Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone, Superman, Australia, Great Gatsby, Mad Max 3, Home and Away, Love Child, Doctor Doctor, Wonderland, All Saints. Now my flowers as art are regularly appearing on Australian television shows including Home and Away, Doctor Doctor and Puberty Blues.
